ABOUT THIS RECIPE

Yield: 6-8 servings

ingredients

4 cups fresh blueberries (or 2 small bags frozen blueberries)

1 ½ cups sugar

6 tablespoons softened butter

1 cup milk

2 cups flour

2 teaspoons baking powder

½ tsp salt

 

TOPPING

1 cup sugar

2 tablespoons cornstarch

DIRECTIONS

Line a 9” x 13” greased pan with fresh or frozen blueberries. Mix sugar & butter together, and add milk. Sift flour, baking powder & salt and add to creamed mixture. Mix well. Spread batter over blueberries. Mix sugar with cornstarch & spread over batter. Pour 2 cups boiling water over all. Do not stir. Bake at 375 degrees for 50 minutes (for 8” pan) 60+ minutes for 9” x 13” pan. Serve warm with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream.
